Barcelona Day 6 Cheesecake for lunch
Well I'm sat at a pastry shop with a lemon cheesecake and a cappuccino for lunch. The full experience of Spanish culture means that I have wandered the streets knowing that it is a public holiday oblivious to hints of closed stores. I arrived at my planned destination of choice restaurant fingers crossed it was open. Finger crossing obviously got me nowhere; it was open but they did not serve food until 14:00. My stomach grumbled in protest and I sought to find a Starbucks that would camouflage my presence for two hours. In the meantime, I passed by a glorious pastry shop with a little coffee bar at the back. I ordered a lemon cheese cake (and a chocolate cake at the lady's horror)when I said I would eat it ahora. Soon after, I changed my mind and decided that I was happy with just cheesecake but as usual, my ways of expressing myself was lost in translation! I now have a chocolate cake staring at me and I laugh at how just a mere few minutes ago, I had insisted in eating both these cakes. Obviously, my eyes are bigger than my mouth as my mom commonly tells me.
